I lost one of my 2 tanks i had at the time and my only vestal was then gobbled up after that so i ran with her in the pot and was considered dead as soon as i fled!!! i kept my 2 other guys so i just had to quit the run and gear up the correct men to assault just her! it shouldn't matter who you use as long as the characters fit your play style and can all access her with main attacks from their zones.
